Closures Notice: Visitor centres, Geeveston Town Hall and Re-Use Shop

The Huon Valley Council has announced the temporary closure of the following facilities from close-of-business 24 March 2020 due to the COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) outbreak

  • Huon Valley Visitor Centre in Huonville
  • Geeveston Visitor Centre and Geeveston Town Hall
  • Re-Use Shop at the Southbridge Waste Transfer Station (Huonville)

The health and safety of our staff and community is our number one priority and we are continuing to take measures across all sites to reduce the spread of the virus. The closures will last for at least two weeks and are under active review.

We understand that these closures may cause inconvenience for some, and we appreciate the patience and understanding of the community at this time. All closures will be actively reviewed and advice monitored, with an update on reopening made available as soon as possible.
