The Council maintains in excess of 750 kilometres of roads, with 150 kilometres of seal roads and 600 kilometres of unsealed roads. Council also is responsible for the maintenance and upgrading of the footpaths and kerb and channel within the various towns.

In addition to the Council maintained roads, the State Government is responsible for the maintenance of the following roads within the Huon Valley:

• Huon Highway
• Channel Highway
• Lymington Road (from Cygnet to Forsters Rivulet Road)
• Nicholls Rivulet Road
• Scotts Road
• Glen Huon Road
• Ranelagh Secondary Road (from Huonville via Wilmot Road - Agnes Street - Lollara Road through to the Huon Highway)
