The Red Cross have simple and practical steps you can take to protect yourself, the people you love, and the things you value most. Start planning on the Red Cross Website or download the Get Prepared app for your phone.

Staying in touch and informed is vital in an emergency. Telstra provide some tips on preparing your communications in the lead up to an emergency.

Floods & Storms

Call the Tasmania State Emergency Service (SES) on 132 500 or visit their website.

SES is working with local community at high risk of flooding to develop Community Protection Flood Plans and guides. Check these out for the following areas: Huonville and Ranelagh, Geeveston, Upper Huon River, Mountain River area above Ranelagh, Cygnet and Surrounds, Franklin to Port Huon, and Dover and Far South.

Bushfire Planning
