Seniors Health Acitivities

The Huon Valley Council operates a number of activities for seniors throughout the year.

These include:

mah jong monday

Beginners welcome and encouraged!

'mah jong monday' is a great opportunity to meet people, have fun and keep your mind active!

Come along and play the ancient game of mah jong. You don't need to know how to play to come along. The friendly group are more than happy to teach you!

'mah jong monday'  is held from 11.45am to 2.45pm at the Huon Community Health Centre, 7-9 Sale Street in Huonville

Participation is by a gold coin donation. Tea coffee and a snack provided.


Mayor's Afternoon Tea

The Mayor's Afternoon Tea was held on Wednesday 15 October 2014 between 1 - 3pm at the Huonville Bowls Club. The special guest entertainers were Day Star Duo.

The afternoon was full of fun, entertainment, laughter and delicious food not to mention the prizes!

Each guest were invited to take home some beautiful Gerberas, balloons and a goodies bag.

Day Star Duo will be back to perform at the Mayor's Afternoon Tea in 2015. Date to be advised.

Seniors Week Activities 2014

We celebrated Seniors Week this year with a variety of activities, these included:

Barefoot Bowls at Geeveston

A little too chilly on the day so no 'bare feet' were seen,but lots of food and fun were had!
