Positive Ageing Advisory Committee

The Council has appointed a Positive Ageing Advisory Committee to:

  • Underpin the Huon Valley Council's Rural Health Strategy 2008
  • Assist the Council to understand the issues facing older people in the Huon Valley and help to clarify the role of the Council in addressing these
  • Develop strategies for the Council to respond to the impacts of an ageing population
  • Develop a positive ageing strategy

The committee has been established under section 24 of the Local Government Act 1993.

 

Positive Ageing Strategy - October 2012
